LET’S ACT: A €1 Million Boost for Cultural Participation in Aruba & Sint Maarten
Empowering Artists & Strengthening Creative Communities
Oranjestad/Utrecht – 2025 – CEDE ARUBA and Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie (FCP) have launched LET’S ACT, a groundbreaking €1 million initiative supporting cultural and social participation in Aruba and Sint Maarten.
With a focus on fair pay for artists, increased accessibility to arts and culture, and capacity-building programs, LET’S ACT will fund over 50 cultural organizations, ensuring sustainability and inclusivity in the creative sector.
“LET’S ACT strengthens the bond between the cultural and social sectors in our islands,” said Daniel Tecklenborg, Director of CEDE ARUBA. The program will roll out in March 2025, offering funding, mentorship, and professional development for artists and organizations.

CEDE ARUBA Meets with Government Formation Committee to Strengthen Collaboration
Forging Strategic Alliances for Community Development
Oranjestad, Aruba – March 5, 2025 – CEDE ARUBA has engaged in a strategic dialogue with Aruba’s Government Formation Committee to discuss collaboration opportunities between the government and civil society. During the meeting, CEDE ARUBA presented its Strategic Compass 2022-2026, which focuses on four key pillars:
- Empowering Citizens – Encouraging civic participation and volunteerism, especially among youth.
- Community Well-Being & Solidarity – Strengthening neighborhood centers and local initiatives.
- Poverty Reduction & Self-Sufficiency – Supporting vulnerable groups and fostering financial independence.
- Building Strong Organizations & Partnerships – Enhancing the capacity of NGOs and aligning with community needs.
CEDE ARUBA emphasized the importance of an expanded collaboration protocol between the government and NGOs, proposing improved accessibility to public services, more efficient funding structures, and regional partnerships across the Dutch Caribbean. The organization also outlined key initiatives for 2025, including a National Prevention Center, expanded youth programs, and cultural projects like LETS ACT.
CEDE ARUBA remains committed to strengthening Aruba’s civil society and looks forward to deeper cooperation with the government to drive meaningful change.

CEDE ARUBA and University of Aruba Partner for Social Development
Bridging Education & Community Growth
CEDE ARUBA and the University of Aruba have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in education and social development.
This strategic partnership will provide internships, research opportunities, and training programs for university students while strengthening Aruba’s NGO sector. CEDE ARUBA and the University of Aruba will also work on joint initiatives, including data collection, community engagement programs, and the Visitor Charity Program.
This four-year agreement reflects both institutions' commitment to building a resilient and sustainable society through education and civic engagement.

MUSIC HUBS: A New Platform for Local Music Talent
Supporting Aruba’s Musicians with Funding & Mentorship
CEDE ARUBA, in collaboration with Fonds Podiumkunsten and UNOCA, proudly introduces MUSIC HUBS, a project designed to support Aruba’s music production and talent development.
The pilot program will fund eight selected local producers, providing resources for branding, song production, video creation, and promotion. Mentored by Michael Lampe, an internationally connected producer, the initiative will ensure artists gain global exposure and professional guidance.
MUSIC HUBS will culminate in a showcase event, celebrating Aruba’s emerging musical talent.
